STAYING MARRIED Don?t let the things that attracted you to one another be the things that drive you apart
(ContentDesk) June 20, 2004 -- I met Dave at work and our relationship became apparent to everyone almost immediately.
Our love bloomed like time-lapse photography.
It wasn't long before he asked me to consider moving in with him, but I held out for marriage because having a husband rather than a roommate seemed like a good idea at the time. And it was.
He was funny, easy-going, smart, respected and several years older than I.
I was intelligent, ambitious, hard-driving and immature.
He was my anchor, always making a joke when things got too serious, always taking things in stride and always willing to forgive and forget.
I relied on his humor to help erase my fears and concerns. His easy manner wouldn't permit reproach for mistakes I'd made or for the unfeeling things I said when my temper flared.
Everyone said I was lucky to have him.He loved my spaghetti, my figure, my decisiveness, my ability to state my thoughts and opinions...
Imperial Optical, Inc. Introduces its Contact Lens Success Program Guarantee
Imperial Optical, Inc., the leading independent wholesale contact lens distributor in North America, today launched its "Contact Lens Success Program" guarantee.
The "Program" provides eyecare practitioners with a full refund on up to two opened and partially used boxes of disposable contact lenses that are returned as a result of a patient's unsuccessful transition to contact lenses and/or a patient's unsuccessful conversion from one contact lens product to another.David Pearce, Imperial Optical's Marketing Manager said, "After talking with many independent practitioners, it became clear that Imperial Optical could take a leading position in the contact lens distribution marketplace by developing a no-hassle return policy to support practitioners who offer a contact lens success program to their patients.
I strongly urge all independent ECPs to develop a contact lens success program.
Eyeglass-wearing patients are more likely to give contact lenses a try, either...
Seattle Mardi-Gras Revelers Drink in the Name of Science and Give this Hangover Helper a Try
In Seattle Washington, during Mardi-Gras week we decided to do an experiment with a well know hangover prevention pill.
To see if it really worked. We asked 10 people each of the five nights to take RU-21 while they drank.
As they drank we had each of them take 1 pill with each drink.
Over the course of the evening people had anywhere from 2 to 8 drinks.
We also made sure they got home safely since RU-21 does not prevent intoxication. We spoke with them the next day to see how they felt, if it worked for them and if they would take it again.
A resounding 100% of party goers that took RU-21 all agreed it worked for them, they did not feel hung over and would continue to take it in the future when they drink alcohol. Many of those had taken other hangover prevention pills in the past and been disappointed at their results so they were reluctant to try RU-21.
These were all different people. The age range of those participating was vast...

Waiter Corkscrew
This is probably the most ubiquitous wine opener in the world, and the ultimate in simplicity.
This tool features a design that allows the entire tool to fit in your pocket, and as such has become the overwhelming favorite of wait staff and picnic goers.
There are three essential parts that all fold out from the body of the tool: the corkscrew itself, a lever that acts as a fulcrum on the top of the bottle, and a small foilcutter to cut the foil from the top of the bottle.
No wine cellar would be equipped without one at a minimum for backup.
To use the opener simply remove the foil from the neck with the knife, twist the corkscrew fully into the cork, and then place the lever on the top of the bottle and pull the cork up and out.
Some devices feature two shoulders on the lever in order to maximize leverage, in this case use the one halfway down the lever first, finally use the top shoulder to get the cork...
